Sara Spintex

Sara Spintex spinning mill with Marzoli technology

Total control of the value chain for consistent quality

Sara Spintex is an Indian textile company based in Yavatmal, Maharashtra. Founded in 2004 as a ginning company, it quickly attracted the attention of leading industry brands, embarking on a growth path that led it to become the first fully automated spinning mill in India.

To turn this vision into a concrete industrial reality, together with Sara Spintex we designed a highly automated spinning plant capable of combining yarn quality, high production volumes, and operational continuity, supporting the company through a new phase of growth.

The challenge

Sara Spintex’s mission has always been to satisfy its customers through excellence in production and service. To achieve this goal, the company faced a dual requirement: on the one hand, to achieve the highest measurable quality levels, and on the other, to ensure flexibility and timely market response.

In particular, Sara Spintex needed to:
  • achieve top scores in Uster Statistics;
  • produce the type of yarn required by the market, in the right quantities and with reliable lead times.

A challenge that required a highly automated plant capable of combining quality, production volumes, and operational continuity.
The project developed for Sara Spintex demonstrates how automation, when supported by reliable technology, can become a key factor in ensuring yarn quality, production continuity, and the ability to respond quickly to market demands.

The solution

To meet these requirements, in March 2013 we installed a complete 12,000-spindle spinning line at Sara Spintex, with a production capacity of 15,000 kg per day of carded yarn in counts Ne 6, Ne 10, and Ne 16.

The complete line supplied by Marzoli includes:
  • a complete opening line capable of processing up to 20 tons of cotton per day;
  • 10 C701 cards, each capable of processing over 800 kg of cotton per hour;
  • 8 draw frames, producing up to 1,000 meters per minute of high-quality sliver;
  • 4 roving frames with 144 spindles each, designed to ensure high production volumes;
  • 10 fully integrated ring spinning machines, ensuring maximum efficiency and operational flexibility.

This configuration was specifically designed to support a fully automated, stable, and performance-oriented spinning process.

The results

Today, Sara Spintex produces yarns made from 100% Indian cotton, with counts ranging from Ne 6 to Ne 16, serving established and continuously growing market segments.

The company’s success demonstrates how a business originally focused on ginning can achieve vertical integration and evolve into an autonomous, highly automated spinning mill.
In the case of Sara Spintex, this journey was also made possible by the partnership with Marzoli, which provided advanced technologies capable of ensuring high production volumes, consistent yarn quality, and long-term reliability.

With this project, Sara Spintex has turned automation and quality into strategic levers for sustainable and competitive growth.
We decided to rely on Marzoli because its name and history are synonymous with technological excellence in the textile industry. Our quality tests confirm this choice: Marzoli technology enables us to achieve the best Uster Statistics results.
